The First Brushing Gallop

Starting off with another horse term. A brushing gallop is when the horses are nearly at full speed, without quite attaining that rate, while usually running uphill. It is worth noting that the training methods of different countries varies greatly. And now on to what I'm actually doing.

Work will be the task of the next couple days as well as packing. Travel is thrown in there at some point, and for everyone traveling, best of luck to you and Happy Holidays. I should be stationery again by late afternoon on Saturday, in New Jersey. A couple weeks later, voila, landing in Birmingham, England. Hopefully I shall not slaughter their pronunciations too badly. In the racing world, at least on the English side of the pond, Derby is pronounced Darby. This is the only one I know about so far, so there will be lots of pronunciation discoveries through this blog.

Days to England: Both too far and too soon

  1. Ummmmm how much pronunciation help would you like before hand??? Or terminology help.... oh and you have to find a good fish and chip shop, I mean a good one, not just anyone, a place that serves kebabs, fries anything you never dreamed of, does the standard fish and chips, as well as the amazing curry chips :)
